Through our Food Bank Program we supply other non-profit agencies with food and medicinal products. These agencies are located throughout Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee and all have the same mission of ending hunger in the Southeastern United States. By supplying these agencies with these products The Georgia Food Bank, Inc. is able to give assistance to economically disadvantaged families that could not make it to our facility because of where they live and the distance they would have to travel. Operating as an "Independent Food bank" we can supply any agency, anywhere that is in need of assistance. We are not restricted by territorial boundaries or jurisdictional red tape. Monthly reports are required of all recipient agencies documenting number of people served, ages, and area that the agency serves. All agencies are required to sign a contract stating that no product received from The Georgia Food Bank, Inc. can be sold, bartered or traded. In the event a complaint is made concerning an agency, it is investigated thoroughly and if the agency is found to be in violation of this contract their affiliation with The Georgia Food Bank, Inc. will be terminated immediately.
