Assisting poverty stricken areas. That is the mission of our Outreach Program. We receive request for assistance from various churches, food banks, food pantries and other non-profit organizations throughout the Southeastern United States. These requests are for The Georgia Food Bank, Inc. to come into a poverty stricken area in their community and provide what we call a "Community Food Drop". The local agency requesting the food drop usually sets up the location and The Georgia Food Bank, Inc. will give the time, pounds of food that will be available for the drop, amount of help that will be needed for the drop and all required information for media coverage.
